She is out of the water.

Desiree is out! My unofficial time suggest her swim was just under one hour. Michellie is about 5:30 up.

First pros have reached the swim turn around.

This year the lead swimmers are being lead by American surfing legend, Laird Hamilton. He is standing on a surfboard with a paddle. Not sure how he can keep pace but hey its Laird Hamilton!

The swim has started. Water is calm. Sun crested the mountains just as the cannon went off. I will post pictures from the start while Desiree is out on the bike.
